One cool kid

On saturday we hooked up with Troy, Marisa, and Emma. We went to the Gateway for sushi and to get Emma's ears pierced (poor girl). While we were getting Emma's ears pierced Haas took Tyson for some shopping and decided that it was now time for Tyson to have his first bandana. So here are some pics of my cool kid in his bandana. He is so cool.




Afterwards, we came back to our place for some awesome fireworks and drinks. It was nice having everyone over and even got our neighbor to come join in with us.
Thanks you Marisa for being such a great bartender for all of us! I cant wait to do it again.

4 months

Tyson had his 4 month appointment today and I was so proud of him. He now weighs 12 lbs 6.5 oz and is 23 1/2 inches long. What a big boy. He is still small compared to other babies his age but he is catching up quick. He had 2 shots and he didnt even notice the first one he just sat there smiling at the nurse being a little flirt. He did not like the 2nd shot but only cried for a second and was fine once I held him. The Dr said that we should start him on rice cereal so we went to the store and picked up his first big boy cereal and we got to feeding him. He did pretty well and ate half of what I made for him. He of course made a mess and spit some on it out but then would sit there with his mouth open for more. I started him out in his new big boy high chair but he ended up more interested in chewing on the chair than eating so I switched him over to the Bumbo.
Tyson has been teething really bad this week and has been very whiney and nothing seems to help. I was going to take him up to Myriad for everyone to see him before I took him to his appointment but he has been so crabby and not sleeping much so when he took a nap and it went longer than expected I wasnt about to wake him. As a result we got to his appointment late and they almost wouldnt see him. But they snuck us in which I am thankful for since the Dr is leaving for 2 weeks.
This month I also bought Tyson a Jumperoo which thank you very much I put together myself. I also put together his highchair which he seems to love. He still isnt quite sure about the Jumperoo but I know that soon he will love it as much as his playmat.

wedding

So my niece got married on Tuesday so we had lots of family in town from Pennsylvania, Georgia, and Kansas. It was so great seeing everyone. Kay looked beautiful!!! Erin and Jason stayed with us, which was great because we got to spend a lot of time together. I cant wait to head on down to Atlanta for Christmas this year to spend more time with them. Tyson just loves his aunt Erin. He would just sit and stare at her and when she would look at him he would just beam. It was awesome. We decided to meet Haas for lunch down at the Harley Davidson in Lindon where Tyson got to sit on his first motorcycle. He is going to be just like his daddy!! Here are a few pics from this weekend. New beginnings

Well today is my official last day at work. I have my exit interview at 3 and I know that my day will drag on and on. It felt weird cleaning out my desk and packing up stuff that I looked at everyday for the last 4 1/2 years. I had a lot of good times at Myriad especially in the beginning. I made a lot of really great friends from being here and I am really greatful for that. I am so excited and nervous too to stay at home. I know I am going to love it but I get nervous about having the sole responsibility for our expenses to be put on my husband but I know that he is excited about it. He told me the other night that he feels proud that he is able to be the sole support for our family and that we will still be able to live comfortably. What a great guy I got. Good thing I stalked him!!!
Another new thing is that after 1 1/2 years of hearing constant complaining from Haas about my car that I loved so much, he talked me into getting a new car. So we now have a 2008 Dodge Nitro and we can not wait to drive it to Wendover tonight to celebrate our new beginnings. Little Tyson Bug is going to stay with his Nana for his first overnight without mom and dad. Im excited to get away for a night but I already miss him and we havent even left yet. I know that he will be fine and has lots of cousins here now that will keep him very occupied. Here's to hoping that we win lots or at least break even!!!!! Cheers
