I know its been a while since I blogged. We moved and never hooked up our internet since we were able to use the internet on our phones it didnt matter but we finally hooked it up.
Tyson has been doing so good and loves our new house. He has been so good with stairs since he turned 1 that we havent been worried about blocking the stairs off in this house. He knows how to go up and down them and doesnt really play on them. Well today he was riding around on his rocket ship that was in his room. I had heard him in his room and didnt see or hear him come out. Then I hear a thud thud thud. He loves to throw toys down the stairs so thats all I thought it was. THen I hear a blood curdling scream and I knew that he had fallen down them.
When I looked down the stairs I realized that he tried to ride his rocket ship down the stairs. the handle bars hit him in the cheek so he has a little bruise on his face but other than that he's fine. We called Haas and was telling him about it and Tyson was talking all serious then he would bust out laughing and point to the stairs.
I have a dare devil and it looks like it might be time to block the stairs off or make the rocketship and his dump truck outside toys. LOL

Memorial Day

For Memorial day I decided to take Tyson up to visit my parents at the cemetary. We also stopped by to put flowers on my great Grandma, both my Grandpa's, and my aunts graves. I wanted to get a picture of Tyson at my parents grave but he was more interested in running around. I did get a couple of pics out of it though.

Finally a post

I guess its been a while since I've posted anything. We have actually been doing a ton of stuff but nothing I really feel like blogging about. Good news is that Haas is back to work. Which is wonderful but he has been working 16+ hours a day so I dont see him. He is so tired by the time he gets home he just goes to sleep.
For those of you at Myriad you can thank him for all the traffic on foothill and leaving Myriad. I know you are loving it. He has told me about all of you guys yelling at him. LOL

So for all of you that have heard all about Haas' gas station addiction I have something for you.

From the mouth of Haas:
Haas: You would be so proud of me today.
Me: Why
Haas: I didnt stop at the gas station once today. (While holding a drink clearly from the gas station)
Me: Where did you get the drink then
Haas: Well ok I stopped at the gas station to get this drink because I was so thirsty. .....And I stopped at the gas station this morning for breakfast because getting breakfast from there really wakes me up.
Haas: But those dont count!!!!

Trip to the ER

Tyson was not a fan of the ankle bracelet

Now that Tyson is walking he is really starting to get his fair share on bumps and bruises. Yesterday he tripped on his pant leg and fell face first into the floor. He bit his lip and is was bleeding and got really fat.
Then today he was in the bathtub and stood up, I told him to sit on his bum and as he was sitting he slipped and hit his chin into the side of the tub. When he did that his bottom teeth hit the roof of his mouth making them bleed. I felt so bad for him and was thinking that this accident prone lil guy is definately mine.
We went the rest of the day without any accidents and I thought maybe we could get through the night too. After I got his jammies on for the night he spotted his blanket on the ground and decided to go head first off the ottoman to get it. He had figured out how to get off the couch and ottoman feet first but decided not to today. He ended up being ok just with a little mark on his forehead. He went about watching yo gabba gabba and playing for a little bit. I had him sitting on the couch with me watching the Cardinals baseball game and he had been standing up on the couch and trying to drop paper in between the couch and wall. He ended up standing up and fell off backwards and hit the back of his head. He cried and cried for quite a while then he started throwing up. I know they say that if you throw up after hitting your head you might have a concussion so we took him into the ER to have him checked out. I didnt think that there was really anything wrong but its better to be safe than sorry.
When we got to the hospital he was laughing and having a good time. The Dr also said that he didnt think anything was really wrong but if they fail any of the concussion symptoms they have to do a CT scan. Since vomiting is one of the symptoms Tyson had to have the scan done.
Tyson seems to have claustrophobia like Haas so I knew that he would not be happy having the scan done and I was right. They strapped him down on the scanning bed and also strapped his head down. He threw the biggest fit I had ever seen, he had veins popping out of his forhead. poor guy. Then when i got him out of the straps he started crying even harder almost like he was trying to make all the nurses feel guilty. LOL
We sat there for about a half hour and then Dr came back in and said that everything looked completely normal and just see how he is doing in the morning. Im glad that he didnt have a concussion. I know that this is only 1 of many times that he will get hurt and it probably wont be the last time that we will have a trip to the ER.

Tysons parties

For Tyson's first birthday we had 2 different parties so that my mother in law and Tyson's cousins could be there. Haas' mom had just had surgery and was doing surprisingly well but couldnt risk an infection by being around too many people. I was glad that she was doing well enough to be up and about for his party. We tried to get Tyson to unwrap his presents but he was more interested in the fireplace. He got some cool toys though and finally started playing with them. The golf set his Nana and Papa got him was so cool. Sam enjoyed it too which was so cute to watch. Tyson carried around a club with him for awhile. He will be Papa's golfing buddy soon enough!!!
We got him a cool cake and even his own personal cake. I was expecting him to dig into it but he just picked the frosting off so carefully and ate it. Haas ended up smearing frosting on his face to get it started. His face looked so gross at the end. Note to everyone, black and orange frosting looks disgusting. And the black stains your lips.
Im a bad mom and was trying to get Tyson to try to blow out his candle but he grabbed it instead and burned his hand. OOPS.

We then had a party for him the next day at our house for the rest of our friends and my family. If anyone has been inside my house you know that our living room and kitchen is small. Somehow we managed to fit 35 people into our house. It was so crowded and was a little overwhelming but really made us feel loved that we have so many family and friends that care so much for us. I really appreciate everyone so much. Tyson got so spoiled by presents. Once people left I still was feeling claustrophobic from the overwhelming amount of toys and clothes that he got. Once we got all of the toys out of the boxes there were still toys everywhere. I ended up going and buying a huge rubbermaid container to use as a toy box and i still couldnt get all of his toys from the party in there. It is crazy.
We had the same cake for Tyson and it was so funny to see everyone walk around with stained black lips. I want to thank Brandie for being so kind and taking pictures for us. Tyson will have lots of pics to look back on when he gets older!!!

1 Year!!

Happy 1 year birthday to the most beautiful baby boy in the whole world. I cant believe a year has gone by. I was going through pics from when Tyson was born and I cant believe all of the accomplishments and milestones that he has hit. After seeing the pics of him being so tiny it really made me realize how grown up he is. He is no longer completely dependent on me. He really likes his space and to do his own thing. We were cuddling on the couch watching Yo Gabba Gabba and he pushed me away and crawled to the other side of the couch and cuddled up with a pillow instead. Kinda made me sad but he is definitely his own little person and he knows what he wants. I am so proud of him and everything that he has done. He has made our lives so much better. I am so proud to be his mommy. I hope this next year doesnt go by as fast as this one did, I want to enjoy my Tyson Bug as much as possible.

Coming home from Orlando

On saturday we woke up early and got the condo cleaned. We had to be out of there at 11 but our plane didnt leave til 530. We decided not to stick around Orlando but just head straight to the airport in Tampa. Tampa's airport is pretty cool and they dont have everyone stand in the same security line they send you to the different gate areas to do security. So everyone that has a departing plane from an A gate will go through Gate A security, Everyone from B gates will go through Gate B security, etc. When we got in line there was only about 10 people in line so we thought we would get through quick. NO SUCH LUCK!!!! Glad that we were there early. It took about an hour to get through the check because there were so many old people in wheel chairs so they had to do a more thorough security check because the people couldnt get out of the chairs.
Once we got to our gate we saw that there was a really cute play area that was geared towards younger kids. Tyson loved it. they had a squishy slide that Tyson could climb up by himself and go down. He would climb the slide over and over again. Once he was at the top he would start talking really loud and get so excited. You could tell that he was so proud of himself. The gate next to us was going to Canada and all the kids that were playing around us all spoke french. This little girl who was about 6 kept playing with Tyson and helping him up the slide. She didnt know english except "good job" so she kept saying that to him. Tyson really liked the attention.
Even though we had a 4 hour wait in the airport, the time went by so fast and soon we were boarding. Again I had booked our seats so that we would hopefully have the middle seat open. Again no luck. Right after we took off Tyson fell asleep. The flight was the worst that I have ever been on. We flew through rain the entire flight so the turbulence was aweful. Since I had gotten pregnant with Tyson I started getting motion sick which I never dealt with before. So this flight was very challenging. It ended up being so bumpy that the flight attendents could serve drinks. I was dying for some sprite or gingerale. We were not able to get anything until about an hour before we landed. But something worse happened. Half way through the flight Tyson woke up and started throwing up all over the place. He didnt cry or whine or bother anyone the entire flight but he threw up 4 times. I felt so bad for the guy sitting next to us. He was so sweet though and kept saying how well behaved Tyson was.
We thought that he was getting motion sick because he didnt have a fever or seem like he felt bad. The next morning though he started throwing up again and then Haas and I got sick. We call it the Orlando special since other family members had it too. So for the next week we hung out sick at home. We are all feeling better though and now we are planning Tysons birthday and are so thankful that he is back to his old self!!!

Day 6 Downtown Disney part 2

On Friday we decided to go back down to Downtown Disney again because we really wanted to find some Disney Sing a longs for Tyson. We couldnt find any but it was fun to walk around again. It was a pretty nice day and it was nice to be outside. We took a boat ride again since Tyson loved it so much. Then we went to lunch at the Rainforest Cafe. It was pretty cool in there. All of the animals were interactive. So the elephants ears and trunks would move and they had a ton of fish tanks all over the restraunt. Tyson loved the place but when it would get dark and start to lightning it did frighten him a little.

Then it was back to the condo to start packing and cleaning up. We had a great time in Flordia and it will be fun to go back once Tyson is a little older. He did great on this vacation again which makes me so thankful to have such a great baby that we can take him anywhere and he does so well.

Day 5 Magic Kingdom

On Thursday it was the day that we had been waiting for!!!!! It was time to go to Disney World!!!!! They have vendors on every corner where people can take in their unused Disney tickets and you can get them for $60/ticket instead of $95. So we picked up some tickets and headed down to the Magic Kingdom.

As soon as we got there we saw Pluto! So Tyson's first picture at Disney was with Pluto and he was ready for a nap and barely noticed him LOL.

After pictures we got on the train and took a ride down to Toon Town where most of the other characters were. Tyson did like the train ride but fell asleep pretty much right when we got on it. So when we got off we found a bench to sit and wait for him to wake up since we were mostly there to get his pics taken with everyone.
When he woke up we decided to go see Mickey and Minnie first. We were standing in line and Haas' mom had a coke. Tyson is going through this stage where anytime he sees a drink with a straw in it he has to have the entire thing. So we are in line and he has a death grip on his Nana's shirt and his mouth on her straw the entire time. I think that he is going to be a diet coke addict!!!

Then it was our turn to see Mickey and Minnie. You wouldnt know it from our pictures but Tyson wasnt really paying much attention to Minnie. She kept tapping him on the shoulder and he kept staring at Mickey. When we were leaving Tyson leaned over and gave Mickey a kiss on the nose. So sweet!!!

With Tyson being such a flirt, we decided that we had to take him to see the Princesses. We were right!!! The first Princess we got to see was Princess Aurora. Tyson was flirting with her like crazy. He would look at her get a huge smile then turn and bury his face in my shoulder then put his head on his shoulder and look back up at her. She said that he was handsome like Prince Phillip.



Then we moved on to see Cinderella, but Tyson was still so into Aurora that he didnt notice Cinderella for a little bit because he was too busy looking around the corner at Aurora. He did get a the cutest smile with her and she said that Prince Charming better watch out for Tyson!!!!

Then it was time to see Belle. Her dress was so bright yellow that Tyson never even looked up at her. Her dress sure had him amazed though.
On our way back to the parking lot we decided to take the ferry boat. Of course Tyson loved the boat ride and probably could have stayed on there all day.
It was a good day at Disney but it was so cold. I dont know why it is always our luck that it is cold in the warmest states that we go to and then the week we leave it goes back up to 80!!

Day 4 Our Anniversary

On Wednesday Erin and Jason and Brad went back home. Haas' dad drove Brad down to Tampa to the airport and Haas' mom stuck around the condo to watch Tyson so that we could celebrate our 3rd anniversary. I can not believe that we have already been married for 3 years. It has gone by so fast and we have had so many good times and challenging times. I am so lucky to have Haas as a husband and best friend. I know that he would do anything for me!!!!
Down in Orlando everywhere you turn there was a mini golf course. It was pretty much like being in Utah where everywhere you look there is a LDS church. Literally every corner had a different mini golf course and they were the coolest courses you have ever seen. We decided to go to one that was down the street from the condo. Right when you walked up there was a pit that had alligators that you could feed. Alligators kinda freak me out but it was fun to look at them. We paid for 2 games of golf but it was so cold that we decided not to do the 2nd course. Its too bad too because the course was so much fun.
Afterwards we went to dinner at a sushi place called Ren Geshu. We read about it in the sky mall magazine on the plane there it was rated the best sushi place. It wasnt bad but I think that Fortune Cookie in South Jordan is much better. But they did have some fish that Haas had never had and he said that it was the best Nigiri that he ever had.
Then being the party animals that we are, we went back to the condo to watch American Idol. It was really nice too because Haas' mom was so kind to keep Tyson upstairs with them so that we could sleep in the next morning.

Day 3 Pedicures and Jasons bday

On tuesday it was Jason's bday and we figured that he would want some alone time. So the girls packed up and went for a much needed pedicure. I hadnt had pedicure since last january before Tyson was born. It was so nice to get a little pampering in. And it was so nice to spend some time with my mother and sister in law. The place that we went to had the funniest guy that was doing the pedicure on Erin. He had us laughing the whole time. It was pretty funny watching them scrub my mother in laws feet because she is so ticklish and could barely stay in the chair. Afterwards, we went back to the condo to pick Jason up and we went to Red Lobster for a little birthday lunch. Then it happened. Tyson met the women of his dreams. Her name is Hailey and she was the hostess at Red Lobster. Everytime she looked at him he got the biggest grin. He would flirt with other women there but at soon as he saw Hailey no one else existed!!!!

Downtown Disney

On the second day it was going to be the warmest day so I knew I wanted to spend the day outside. We decided that it would be a perfect day to spend at downtown disney. It was so much fun looking at all the shops. Of course Tyson fell asleep right after we entered the park. We did get to see the lego store and saw the princess parade. We looked through the shops and Tyson loved the boat ride from one side of the park to the other. He loved looking over the side of the boat and having the breeze blow across his face. He just lit up on the boat it was so cute.

Day 1 Bike week

When we booked our trip to Orlando we had no idea that Daytona Bike Week was going on. As soon as Haas found that out Bike Week was definitely something that we had to go to. So we packed up and headed to Daytona for the day. As soon as we got into town we saw a stunt arena outside of the Daytona 500 stadium. We pulled in and started looking at bikes and booths. It was a little windy but over all it was really pretty out.


Haas has a thing that he has to get a shirt from a Harley shop everytime that we go out of town so that it has the different states on the back of the shirt. So we stopped at the Seminole Harley shop. Surprisingly there was a wrestling match going on in the parking lot so we stopped to watch.

Tyson is very proud of throwing his diapers away. As you can see he holds every one up high with a big smile on his face. He carried it all the way to the Harley shop til he could throw it away.

After we got back to the condo we decided to take Tyson swimming since it would be one of the only nice days. The swimming pool was a little too cold so we took him into the hot tub which was more like a heated pool. He had so much fun and looked so cute in his new swimming suit!!! I only wish Haas' mom wasn't sick.

Going to Orlando

Im late getting these posted but we didnt have internet service in the condo and when we got home we got sick. Now that Im better I will work on getting pictures up. So we got up bright and early and my awesome brother took us to the airport. I was excited to take Tyson on an airplane since he did so well last time. We were on a smaller plane this time and I purposely booked our tickets so that Haas would be in the aisle and I would be in the window. We hoped that the plane wouldnt be crowded so that we could have an open middle seat but we were out of luck. So we traded the guy so I would be in the middle and Haas in the window. The guy sitting next to me was really weird and the entire flight he kept bringing up different pictures of his cats on his laptop and trying out the pictures as his background. Crazy cat guy???
The funny thing about the flight was that the guy sitting in front of me in the aisle seat was texting his girlfriend about Haas and was making up complete lies about him and the people sitting next to us. I got a kick out of reading the messages. He texted that the guy next to him sneezed on "the giant biker guy holding a baby" and now the biker is really mad. Then he said that the guy sneezed on the biker's baby and the biker is getting really pissed. Um that never happened. I got a laugh out of it though.
On the plane there were alot of kids on the flight and every child was screaming and crying through the whole flight. Every kid that is except Tyson. He had a great time and was flirting with every lady that he could see. When we got off of the plane I heard a guy tell a lady that she was lucky that she got to sit near the good baby. LOL she was sitting right behind us. A couple people behind us told us that they didnt even know that we had a baby with us. Im so glad that Tyson was feeling better from his ear infection and Im glad that his ears didnt bother him at all.

Tough boy!!!

I took Tyson to the Dr a couple weeks ago because he had this ongoing diaper rash that would go away for a couple days then come back for a couple weeks. Anyways, while we were there they checked Tyson's ears and said that there was some fluid and that it may turn into an ear infection and to watch it.
Well on Monday everything was fine then Tyson woke up from a nap and was kinda whiney but didnt have a fever or anything. He normally doesnt act like that so I knew something was wrong. I decided to take him to the instacare just to make sure since we are leaving on vacation and dont want anything going on while we are away. Sure enough he had a double ear infection. The Dr said that his ears were so red on the inside. Poor kid he was so tough until the Dr looked in his ears then it was all over. He screamed so much and so loud. Anytime he looked at the Dr after that he screamed bloody murder. LOL.
After getting medicine in him he seems to be feeling much better. I am going to call the Dr tomorrow to see if we can get it to make sure everything is cleared up and that Tyson will be ok flying. Hopefully all goes well.
On a better note Tyson is walking so well, it has been so much fun watching him practice. The main thing that he needs to get down is standing on his own. Its funny because he is so confident walking as long as we balance him first but its like he doesnt have the confidence to stand on his own first. He is getting it though and was doing so well tonight. He stood up on his own when he was playing with his rocket ship and he turned around and walked to the ottoman. His face just beamed with pride. It was so cute. He also has to have both arms straight up in the air to walk. LOL I'll get some pics to post its too cute.

What a day!!

Today was going along like any other day. Haas has been sick this whole week and decided to go to the instacare. While he was gone I was sitting there thinking it would be bad if Tyson got hurt and needed to go to the hospital since Haas had the care. Completely random thought but they come to me like that sometimes. Right after getting done with the thought Tyson is dancing around and I see his feet slide and down he goes. I go over and pick him up and there is blood filling his mouth. I could tell at first if it was a tooth or his lip, but after getting him cleaned up I could see that his tooth went through the top of his lip and came out the bottom of his lip. You can see on the bottom of his lip a perfect tooth mark. Good thing it wasnt too bad and didnt need to take him to the Dr.
I gave him some Tylonel to help the pain and he went down for a nap. When he woke up he was full of energy and wanted to walk around holding my finger. I got in front of him and let go of his hand and he took 3 steps all by himself!!!!! I stood him up again and he took another couple steps!!! Im so excited that he is walking. It might not be well but he is walking. How exciting I love watching him accomplish new things. Looks like he will be walking around in Disney World next saturday.

If you volunteer a couple hours of your time to certain organizations they will send you a voucher to get into either Disneyland or Disney World for free. You can then redeem your vouchers at Will Call when you arrive. You will have to redeem them by December 2010.
We just signed up to stock the shelves at a CoOp food bank in salt lake next week. Im so excited that for volunteering for just 4 hours we will be saving $160 getting into Disney World!!! I really cant wait to see Tyson meet M-I-C-K-E-Y M-O-U-S-E!!!

Thank you Delta

Since we got free vouchers from Delta for giving up our seats on our way to Atlanta we have been thinking about where we would go this year. Since Haas is still laid off it makes sense to go on another vacation before he goes back to work. We got a call the other day from Haas' dad saying that they rented a 4 bedroom condo in Orlando at the end of Feb to the beginning of March and asked if we wanted to go. Of Course we do!!!! Its a perfect time to because the vacation will fall over our 3rd anniversary and we will come back 2 days before my birthday. So this will be our anniversary/birthday gift. We will be there with my in laws and my sister and brother in law. Tyson is going to be so excited to go on an airplane again.

Georgia Aquarium

The Georgia Aquarium is the largest aquarium in the world. Seriously. Out of our entire trip I was the most excited for the aquarium. Not only because I love aquariums but because I knew how much Tyson would love it. I was so glad that we dedicated a whole to it. It was really crowded but very worth the wait to see all the exibits. Tyson would stand at the glass and yell at the fish, stare in amazement, and sometimes bang on the glass. They also had characters that would walk around to take pics with. Tyson once again loved them and tried to eat them. LOL. Right before the last 2 exibits Tyson fell asleep, Haas was so cute and kept trying to wake Tyson up because he really wanted him to see all of it. So we took a break and sat down for him to get a good 20 mins in. Once he woke up we were able to go through this really cool exibit where you could go through a tunnel on a moving walkway to watch all of the sharks and stingrays swim above you. There was also a small auditorium where you could sit up by the windows. Tyson loved that and stood there banging on the glass and trying to kiss the fish through the glass. We had such a good time there. I could live in that aquarium and be very happy!!!!
