Pulling a Kanye

So Im going to pull a Kanye because I personally was upset about some of the Emmy winners tonight.
I was in complete shock that the winner of Best Male Lead in a Drama didnt go to Michael C Hall in Dexter.
His character is dark and moody. At the same time you cant help but love this serial killer. You cant help but fall in love with this serial killer.
I also really thought that Dexter should have won best Drama.

or my other choice would have been Big Love
Oh I love these shows and theirnew seasons are starting up soon. Maybe they will earn their Emmys next year.

I also saw that Tyce DiOrio won an Emmy for his Garden of Eden choreography but I was shocked that an Emmy wasnt earned for the breast cancer dance.
Anyways that is my Kanye moment for tonight.

OK, Kanye...lol!

I finally watched season 1 of Dexter this weekend (it's been so horrible and rainy for FOREVER it seems), and I am 100% hooked. Michael C Hall is brilliant, absolutely one of the best performances I've seen lately. I'll have to talk to you about that season soon--I think I spent the entire last few episodes (as Dexter closes in on the Ice Truck Killer...or other way around) biting my nails saying "omigod, omigod, omigod!" over and over again...

I will say, though, Breaking Bad is a CRAZY good show, too. For all the crap TV, there seems to be some really well-written, well-acted shows on again. I think it took HBO and Showtime to up the ante a bit so people remembered what good original TV could be. Both shows are about something I couldn't dream up in a million years, but that's why I watch TV, right? I like being shocked, surprised, and I REALLY appreciate when TV challenges the way I think about something. Both of those shows do...serial killers and meth-lab guys. Who'da thunk?

I believe this past season of SYTYCD will be up for the emmy nominations next year. The Garden dance was from last summer. If that makes any sense

I'm in the same boat as Erin...I just started the first season of Dexter last night...and I just finished episode 7 tonight :) I'm SO hooked! I agree with your rant tho, He's AMAZING in that role, who would have thought that you could feel such sympathy for a serial killer??

Kay, now I'm on season 2 of Dexter and I don't just sympathize with him, I'm actually cheering him on! Like "Oh, Dexter should kill THAT guy next". Is it scary that I find myself thinking about who I could "accidentally" send Dexter's way?

Ha ha! I know...I just got to the part where they find all his "trash bags" and I'm just sitting here thinking "they can't catch Dexter...who'd kill all the bad guys?!"
