Piggy Flu

On Saturday I took Tyson with me to a Tastefully Simple party. There were some other kids there which I thought was perfect Tyson could play while I enjoyed the party. It went well and then one of the kids instantly got sick. She was coughing and running a fever so she went to lay down in a spare room. I kept it in the back of my mind but Tyson didnt get sick on sunday. Monday he woke up with a slight fever and was acting fine but was starting to cough alot and was extremely crabby. If I held him he cried, if I put him down to play he cried. There was nothing by 2 pm that I could for him he was just cranky. He fell asleep early and I was hoping for a better day on tuesday. Tuesday morning he woke up and was so hot I knew that he had a fever. So I grabbed the digital thermometer and it said 98.2. I knew that he was hotter than that. So I went for the regular thermometer and he wouldnt let me keep it under his arm the whole time but I got a reading of 102.1 So I didnt even attempt to leave it there longer I knew my boy was sick. His coughing was really bad and he just wanted to keep sleeping. I got a hold of the Dr office and told them that he was sick and they had me bring him right in. They stuck 2 really long qtips way up to the top of his nose which Tyson did not like. They came back 10 mins later and said he was confirmed to have the swine flu. What I had been dreading happended. I dont know if the girl from the party ended up with the swine flu and thats where he got it or if it was some random place like the grocery store. So until at least friday we are going to hide out in our house. : ( I've gotten his medicine in him and he woke up without a fever this morning but is still sleeping quite a bit.He is on his 3rd long nap for the day and he usually only has 2 short ones. He's being happy today but wants to be held and doesnt want to sleep alone for his naps. That I dont mind while he is sick. Ive just been sitting in the bed with the laptop while he sleeps. Anyways I am hoping that Haas and I dont get it Ive been Lysoling the place down and I have his toys soaking in hot water and soap while he naps. Hopefully this will be the only time this season that he gets it!!!!
