Festival of Trees

This one is our friend Craig's tree

Last night was the opening night of the Festival of Trees. This is a tradition that my mom and I had since I was little. We would always decorate a tree with her best friend Craig. These trees, wreaths, centerpieces, and gingerbread houses would be put up for auction on opening night and all proceeds go to Primary Childrens Hospital. This year I brought along my friend Maria, Haas and my mother in law Ellen. Its amazing to see all of the beautiful decorations that are auctioned off. There are some very talented people out there. I love that even though most of the stuff there costs alot less than they sell for, people know that the money will go to Primary's and they are always willing to pay so much more. Its nice to see that there are still generous people out there today. There was so much to see in a short amount of time. I think that I will go back later on this week and brave the crowds of people. ( Opening night is not as crowded). At the Festival I got to see Craig again which was my favorite part of last night. He has been like another father to me. He decorated a tree which was beautiful.
You never know when you might be in need. Remember to think of others needs before you think of your wants. I hope everyone has a happy holiday

I agree completely. You never know when it will be your family member in Primary Chrildren's. They have saved my Jared's life more times than I can count. Yes... indeed, think of others 'needs' before our 'wants' ! Agreed. Merry Christmas and love you !

That is so neat that you can keep that tradition a part of you. I love your new background!
