Our shower has had a slow drip for a couple weeks and Haas said that he would fix it. So by the time that we buckle down and decide to fix it it has now become 3 big steady streams of water coming out of the tub faucet. Haas' dad came out to try to help fix it and in the process of 2 guys hanging out in the bathtub beerless the pipe broke and started leaking water behind the shower enclosure. So we get ready to turn the water off and what do you know the water leaked enough to start leaking through the ceiling of our living room. Maybe if there was beer involved in the process it wouldnt have been so stressful.
So we shut the water off for about 3 hours and we got a plumber out he quoted us $600 to fix the shower. since we wont have the money for a few months we had the guy cap off the lines to our bathroom and we will be using our other bathrooms now. I love how stuff like this happens when everything is already going bad and you dont have the money to fix things. If this had happened in the summer we would probably already have everything fixed. Oh well. I just took an Ambien and ready to sleep this stress off for tonight. Hopefully tomorrow will be better when Haas and I go on a date to see New Moon then go out to eat dinner

Things will get better...silver lining is that you have another bathroom to use, right? I hate when this stuff happens at the WORST possible time, though. Reminds me of the Christmas (I think it was Christmas) in Memphis when Munna & Guy were visiting and our pipes burst. Mom would def remember better than me...I was a kid so I didn't realize what a huge pain in the arse it was.
(and lesson learned: next time, involve beer...)
Oh, and enjoy your date! New Moon is great...except for the slightly-creepy feeling I get from thinking inappropriate thoughts about a certain underage werewolf...
Erin, I remember that Christmas, yes our pipes burst, and Munna and Guy hightailed it out of Memphis rather quickly. It happened again Christmas of 89 when they were staying with us--OUR pipes froze.
Steph, have fun in Atlanta, where hopefully Erin and Jason's pipes won't freeze, but our family does have a history of freezing pipes. Or maybe it was Munna and Guy....LOL
Oh, and the other thing I mentioned when Mom told me about this....Matt and Felton trying to fix something (especially plumbing!), you and Mom should've left the house, except there may not have been much of a house left to come home to. If you've ever seen that Cosby show episode where their shower is leaking--THAT'S what I'm talking about....LOL
